Add your clasps and cords
Toggle clasp, lobster clasp, cord… your customers choose the elastic cord or one of your clasps, at the right price and length.
In the My clasps tab, add the clasps and cords you offer (30 maximum). They only appear in your builder.
As soon as a clasp is visible, a Clasp button shows under the bracelet. Your customer chooses the elastic cord (no clasp), always offered and included, or one of your clasps. With no clasp added, nothing changes: the bracelet stays on elastic cord.
Adding a clasp
- Give it a name (in at least one language) and choose its type: toggle, lobster, magnetic, screw, box, cord…
- Add the photo: the clasp closed, seen from above, horizontal, ideally on a transparent background (PNG).
- Enter its length in mm, from one attachment point to the other, clasp closed (often 15 to 20 mm for a toggle).
- Enter its price in your shop's currency, then save.
Fine settings
- Gap on each side (0 to 5 mm): the space between the last bead and the clasp (crimp bead, jump ring…). It counts in the length.
- Attachment points: place the two red markers on the small rings where the cord is attached. The photo is scaled so that the distance between them equals the clasp length; the T bar and the ring stick out as in real life.
- Shift up ↕ down, rotation and mirror (T on the other side) to sit the clasp properly on the cord.
- Displayed thickness: only if the photo's proportions are misleading.
- Cord colour: for a cord, the line is drawn in this colour.
The preview and the close-up show the result live: the red dots in the close-up must sit on the rings.
Elements next to the clasp
By default, there is always a bead on each side of the clasp. Tick Allow elements touching the clasp so that a bead cap or a spacer can touch it, with a maximum on each side (empty = no limit). This maximum counts all elements touching the clasp, even if they don't have the "Can touch other elements" box ticked themselves. With Place, "+" marks appear on both sides of the clasp.
In the builder and in orders
- The clasp is drawn at the bottom of the bracelet; clicking it reopens the choice.
- If the bracelet becomes too long with the clasp, your customer is warned before any bead is removed.
- The clasp and its price appear in the order email, in the "See the composition" link and in add to cart.
